Prof. Yanqiu Zhu

Prof. Yanqiu Zhu received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Tsinghua University, China and has worked several years with Nobel laureate Prof. H. W. Kroto and Dr. D. R. W. Walton. During that lengthy period, he, as a Research Fellow, studied carbon nanotubes, inorganic nanomaterials, and in particular the so-called inorganic fullerenes. He established the Nanotubes Laboratory in the Wolfson Building, Nottingham University and then took the Chair of Functional Materials at Exeter in August 2010. He is an author/co-author of about 250 papers with h-index 72 and his credentials have been recognized by the RSIF, FRSC, FIMMM, and many other scientific societies.
