Dr Sukanta Das

Dr Sukanta Das at present working in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as a Scientist-F (Group Director) and posted at Integrated Test Range (ITR) Chandipur, Odisha India. He had completed his MTech in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and completed PhD from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Contributed significantly to the advancement of missile technology through research in high-energy explosives and propellants. He has twenty-one years working experience in the field of Nano Composites, High Energy Explosive and Propellants. As a domain expert involved in development and execution of Projects in “Microwave RADAR absorbing materials in X-Band Region” and “Development of Hybrid Nanocomposite based Wide Band RADAR Absorbing Materials”. Specialized in the design and development of composite materials using different polymer matrices, dielectric materials, conducting materials, and magnetic materials for real-time applications in EMI, EMC, and RADAR absorbing materials (RAMs). Working on Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) using conducting and Dielectric materials combination for frequency selective microwave absorption study. Actively involved in mentoring junior scientists and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. He had twenty-two Publication in International Journals and Conferences and an Indian Patent. He is the Life time member of High Energy Materials Society of India (HEMSI), Institute of Engineers India (IEI) and Materials Research Society of India (MRSI).
