Prof. Vijay Kumar Thakur

Prof. Vijay Kumar Thakur is a full professor and head of the Biorefining and Advanced Materials Research Centre at SRUC, UK. He did his postdoctoral study in materials science & engineering at Iowa State University and received a Ph.D. in polymer science (2009). His expertise includes the synthesis and processing of sustainable and functional polymer materials. With a prolific publication record, he has authored over 300 scholarly articles (H-Index 104) in SCI journals, penned 52 books, and holds two prestigious US patents. His expertise is well recognized, as evidenced by his role on the editorial boards of multiple SCI journals. In 2020, Thakur achieved a remarkable milestone by being ranked 154th in the world for career-long impact in the "Polymers" field, according to the highly regarded Scopus Database.
